Remote Online Notary
1- Be commissioned as a Florida notary public.
2- Review the statutes and rules related to remote online notaries public.
3- Complete our approved two-hour online education training course. You will need the course certificate of completion to register as a remote online notary. The remote online notary course is available for $20. Click here to register for the remote online course.
4- Contract with a third-party remote online notarization (RON) service provider whose technology complies with Florida remote online notary law.
5- Obtain a $25,000 remote online notary bond and a $25,000 notary errors and omissions (E&O) insurance policy.
6- Submit a notarized RON application form, a RON information form, a copy of your notary commission certificate, the notary bond, the e/o insurance policy, and the RON course certificate of completion; and a $10 registration fee to the Department of State.
7- Obtain a digital certificate and an electronic notary seal. These items may be provided by your RON service provider. Contact them for more information.
